It seems as if Sarah Palin's closest friends from Wasilla aren't going to vote for her... or are at least "unsure."

Today was so beautiful that nick and i decided to go for a wander around the city.  before we had walked too far, we came across on of those great 'this guy has died and we're selling all his shit' estate sales.  so of course we went on in.  i immediately saw this picture hanging on the wall and had to have it.

well, that was the cool find.  i also found a rousseau print that isn't at all that special except we had to have it since it has bearded cats.  I mean, comm'on!  bearded cats!

A few days back, I got a really stinky box in the mail.  It smelled of hickory smoked goodness.  What was inside? 

bacon and sausage

Handcrafted bacon and sausage from a small family-run farm in Kentucky.  Lately my vegetarian self has been obsessed with bacon.  And not just just any bacon, but luxury bacon that one can only get by searching the inter-nets for small farms in the deep south.  The results of my labors?  The most amazing bacon city folk can get their hands on.  And even more spectacular - the price.  This last batch I received only cost me a whopping 3.99 a pound - we bought 4lbs of bacon and threw in 2lbs of sausage for kicks.  OMFG how can you go wrong?  If you're interested in picking up some of this crack-laced bacon, you can get it here.  I've already picked out my next batch from another little farm that has MAPLE BACON!!  I think a bacon party is in order.

on the last sunday of every month there is a big ol' anitique and crap-o-rama sale in alameda, called antiques by the bay.  i've only had the pleasure of going once, but they had all sorts of cool stuff, from big rustic furniture to strange and unusual art items.  i'm thinking of going this sunday - anyone what to come along?  send me an email or comment if you're into it. 

ps.  i won't be going at the crack of dawn, more likely mid-morning.

GOOD vs. EVIL

nick is a loser.  he had the very daunting task of inviting friends over this saturday night for a little get together.  but he forgot.  so, i will therefore extend the invite to those out there who actually read this:

would you like to come by to our place on saturday night, drink some booze, mingle, munch on some edibles, and hang out?  depends on how many people are interested, but we were thinking of also playing some poker (we have to find something to do since the xbox died).   now, since nick is a loser, you stand a chance of making some big $$$$$.  but be warned, even though nick might be a loser, i am a shark!  RAWWRR!
